ReSport helps more Northlanders access sport and recreation by collecting and redistributing quality sports gear. Their work reduces barriers for families, supports community participation, and gives pre-loved gear a second life.
Yovich & Co is proud to support ReSport and the practical difference they are making across Northland.
Yovich & Co is proud to be supporting ReSport Charitable Trust, a Northland charity that helps young people get into sport by giving them new or gently used gear and uniforms.
Since launching in 2023, ReSport has collected more than 15,600 donated sports items and redistributed more than 10,200 of them, with an estimated value of $1.2 million. Gear that can't be reused is repurposed rather than sent to landfill.
Until recently, much of that equipment was being moved around in the boot of project lead Sharon Gibson's car. CDL Group has now donated a van, and Yovich & Co has committed $15,000 over three years to cover its running costs. The van means ReSport can collect and distribute gear more efficiently and reach more of Northland's rural communities.
For Jarrod Goodall, it's personal. Rugby was a big part of his youth in Whangarei, and he saw how sport gave kids a pathway and built skills like teamwork, integrity and resilience. As a Northland business for nearly 60 years, Yovich & Co believes in backing initiatives that make a difference locally.
ReSport co-founder Joey Yovich said the partnership shows what is possible when businesses get behind local organisations, helping remove barriers so more Northlanders can experience the lifelong benefits of sport.
